We eat a plant-based wholefood diet, and much of what we eat includes foods that we love, where we may have simply swapped certain ingredients for plant-based options. For instance we still eat pastas, but simply swap the cream for a soy cream.
Our typical diet varies a lot, however below is a sample of what we eat.
- Breakfast – Carman’s Muesli, 2 strawberries, 12 blueberries, 1/2 kiwi fruit, 1/3 banana and Soy Milk.
- Lunch – Salad (or Wrap) (includes: avocado, tomato, purple cabbage, red onion, green and red capsicum, quinoa, chick peas, cooked mushrooms, rocket, carrot, cucumber, roasted pumpkin & plant-based fetta).
- Dinner – Vege Cottage Pie, Vege Bollognese, Vege Risotto, Creamy Mushroom Pasta, Vietnamese Vermicelli Salad With Vege Spring Rolls, Veges (Done any way) and Meat alternatives, Quorn Stroganoff, Home-made wedges with all the fixings, etc. We often add salad to our dinner.
We source most of our ingredients from the Green Grocer, and the rest is sourced through major supermarkets, IGA (which stock a lot of Vegan products), Woolies or Coles, or online from the Cruelty Free Shop (www.crueltyfreeshop.com.au)
