Sandwiches are a quick meal to make for lunches.  We don’t eat sandwiches very often though, because our daily intake of bread is generally only one slice.   This is because we try to eat predominantly alkaline meals, and we are always managing our weight.  If we haven’t had any bread for a few days though, we will consider making a sandwich.

We always use a lovely multi-grain bread (that we make ourselves), and we use avocado as a spread, and top it with our favourite salad ingredients.

Our avocado, tomato and onion sandwich is a favourite of ours, and we’ll often toast it.

Note:  We always use small tomatoes that have been ripened on the vine, so that they are sweet and tasty.
